値段は99,750円から194,250円までで各種スペックに合わせたものになっています。64ビットWindows8搭載で1920×1080の解像度、4Gメモリー、500GのHDD構成になっています。スペックの割には高価かもしれませんが、写真のように天板がオリジナルデザインになっていたり、セガの壁紙が入っていたりオリジナル要素も多数あります。




It's not quite the return to hardware production that some Sega loyalists may be hoping for, but Sega's new line of retro console-themed laptops are expensive and doomed to obsolescence, so it's kind of the same thing.

Manufactured in conjunction with Japanese retailer Enterbrain, the Sega Note PC laptops come in four styles: Generic Sega, Mega Drive, Sega Saturn and Dreamcast. Your choice of style can be ordered in one of four hardware configurations, with ascending prices ranging from ¥99,750 ($1075.47) to ¥194,250 ($2094.35). The base model comes equipped with the 64-bit version of Windows 8, a 1920x1080 display, 4 gigs of RAM and a 500 gig HD, all powered by a Pentium 2020M processor, according to our friends at Engadget.

It's kind of a lot of money for not a lot of computer, but each laptop is packed with Sega-branded Windows 8 themes, replete with custom system sounds. Shipment is expected to begin in June for those who either live in Japan or are brave enough to import.

中国の有名女優が自身のゲーマーを告白

中国の女優リー・シャオ・ランは中国ではテレビや映画などで女優として知られ、またダンスが上手いことでも知れれていました。そして、いまもう一つの職業、ゲーマーとしての自身を明らかにしました。

彼女は自身のことをゲームオタクと言い、家に帰るとご飯を食べている時でさえゲームをプレイしているとのことです。


コメント：先月末に中国がゲーム規制を撤廃するとの発表がありました。その影響がこうした発表にも現れているのかもしれません。

Chinese actress Li Xiao Ran (李小冉）is known for many things in China; she's famous for her roles on both the big screen and the TV screen as well as her prowess as a dancer. The one thing that she really isn't known for is being a gamer, and now she's out to change that.

Best known for her roles in Hong Kong movies Dragon Tiger Gate and Wu Xia, Li made a recent appearance on the popular Chinese variety talk show "Day Day Up" (天天向上). On the show, Li claimed that she was a gamer, and that her love of video games and gaming culture is so extreme that she could be classified as a video game "Kong" (游戏控). The "Kong" suffix is basically Chinese for otaku (nerd), and Ms. Li says that she's a gaming otaku.

During her appearance on the show, Li was the mystery guest—the hint about her contained a tiny tidbit about how Li can play five different games on five different tablets at the same time. Li herself claimed on the show that whenever she has time she plays online games, saying "When I'm at home I can play on my computer while I'm eating."

Unfortunately there isn't a video or pictures of Li playing on five tablets at once, but many believe her. Chinese games are often designed to be played with one hand so that the player can smoke or eat while playing, so playing multiple one handed games isn't that hard. Li's also been known to play video games during the little off time she receives during film shoots, and other actors she's worked with have called her out on her gaming.

Li's status as a gamer isn't anything new—on another talk show last year, Li said that her ideal partner would have to be a gamer, someone she can play with. However, Li is probably one of the biggest mainland Chinese actors/actresses to be a gamer, Edison Chen aside of course (though he's also Canadian and in Hong Kong).

MinecraftのRaspberry Piバージョンが登場

あのマインクラフトのラズベリーパイ・エディションが登場しました。これらのバージョンはいくつかの機能に制限があるものの、完全無料版として公開されてます。またいくつかのプログラミング言語もサポートされているようです。

Minecraft: Pi Edition is now available for download directly from Mojang. The first release is light on features, but it’s also completely free. It was tailor-built to work with the tiny Raspberry Pi computer, and features “a revised feature set and support for multiple programming languages”. Mojang hopes it will encourage beginners to jump into programming.

ゴーストリコンで銃を使うアサシンクリードがプレイできる

ゴーストリコンオンラインは近日中にDLコンテンツを準備しているとのこと。このDLパックはアサシンクリードの様なキャラクターがアサルトライフルを持っていて、まるでアサシンクリードが銃を使うようになるらしいです。

このパックは「Abstergo」というそうで武器とアサシンクリードの様な衣装がパックになっているそうです。もちろんこのコンテンツは有料ですが、このようなゲームのビジネスモデルなのですから仕方がないです。まとめ買いパッケージもあって、そちらを買うと少し安くなるようです。

ゴーストリコン オンラインはアサシンクリードの開発元でもあるUBIソフトが開発したFreeToPlayのゲームです。プレイするには無料で、アイテム課金のしくみになっています。ただいまβテスト中でWii U版の提供も予定されていましたが、今のところPC版でのみの提供になっています。

A DLC pack for the oft-forgotten Ghost Recon Online will for the next few weeks make the online PC shooter substantially more interesting. Provided you like Assassin's Creed, that is. And the prospect of Assassins using assault rifles.

The pack adds "Abstergo" weapons and a very fetching near-future rendition of the Assassin's outfit, one that ditches the "Blending into a crowd" thing altogether in favour of being all about the straps and guns. And more straps.

You've got to pay for the privilege, of course, that's how games like this make money, but if you bundle stuff together you'll pay slightly less.

ngees 新しい小さなゲームコンソールが登場か

Ouya、GameStick、Oroject Shieldのようなアンドロイドコンソールが登場しました。その名はNext Generation Entertainment Systemの頭文字をとってnGees（ジーズと発音）というそうです。

このデバイスは、他のデバイスと同様な機能を持つ他にも、Skypeや写真共有やファイル共有、ドキュメント編集などの機能も含むようです。

いまIndiegogoにて資金を集めている最中です。

上のビデオによればフルーツ忍者がモーションコントロールがついたコントローラーによって操作されています。もちろんアングリーバードもプレイしています。これらのゲームはデバイスに特化してつくられたものではありませんが、1:01あたりから見ることができます。このデバイスはUSBを通じてコントローラーなどを繋ぐこともできるようです。

発売は5月に99ドル、139ドル、159ドルの価格帯で発売することを目指しています。



 Another day, another itty bitty Android console. Joining the likes of Ouya, GameStick andProject Shield is the nGees (pronounced "in jeez"), the "Next Generation Entertainment System." Seeking funding on Indiegogo, The little box packs many of the same features seen in other Android consoles, though this one is pitched more as a multimedia device. That includes everything from Skype video conferencing to photo sharing, movies, music and even things like editing documents.

On the gaming front, the box appears to run currently available Android games. Specifically, the above video shows Fruit Ninja being played with a motion-sensing remote control. And, of course, it plays Angry Birds. The games don't appear to be built specifically for the device – you can clearly see a shot of the standard Google Play store at 1:01 – suggesting that the remote is simply emulating touch screen controls on your TV, which doesn't exactly sound ideal. The device does however, promise to support "most of your electronic devices" via USB, and the video shows off a wireless Logitech controller being used. As for the specs, the device sports an ARM9 dual-core processor and a quad-core GPU.

A pledge of $99, $139 or $159 will net you an 8GB, 16GB or 32GB nGees, respectively, with an estimated delivery of May 2013. Strangely, only the $4,000 pledge level mentions including a remote control. nGees is seeking $395,000, with 52 days to go.

GTA5の発売日が延期、理由は品質の改善のため

グランドセフトオート5の発売日は9月17日となり、こちらは当初の発売予定だった今春の発売から遅れることとなった。その理由としてはエイリアンがロックスター・ゲームスに侵入して破壊をしたという訳ではない。ロックスター・ゲームスによれば下記の通り。

この遅れについて、様々な陰謀論めいたことが言われているようだが、それは全然ちがう。この遅れは新しいグランドセフトオートが、リリースに足るまでの出来上がりに達していないからだ。

確かにこのリリース計画は当初の予定より4ヶ月ほど遅れている。このわずかな遅れがみなさんを失望させることはわかってはいるのだが、私達を信じて欲しい。この追加の期間は価値のあるものになると思う。




Grand Theft Auto 5 has a release date of September 17, which is later than its original launch window of spring this year. Yes, this is a delay. No, it isn't because aliens beamed down to Rockstar headquarters and possessed the entire Grand Theft Auto 5 development team. At least that's what Rockstar is telling its fans:

"To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they're all nonsense – literally the only reason we've delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be," Rockstar writes in the comments of its launch date announcement.

When Rockstar first posted the September release date, it said, "We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time." While we study the weaknesses of your puny human race, we assume is how that originally ended.

Hundreds, the minimalist mobile game from Canabalt's Adam Saltsman and Gasketball's Greg Wohlwend, sold its 100,000th copy on Sunday, sending Saltsman into fits ofsentimental, blog-based joy.

"I don't want to downplay, for us, the financial importance of this success; we basically went broke making Hundreds so it's a pretty big deal that it didn't flop," Saltsman writes. "That said, even if it was the kind of money where we could go buy sports cars or whatever (and it's not!), there is this other, at least for me, way more important thing going on, which is less about finances and more about, 'Holy crap, 100,000 people have played Hundreds.'"

Hundreds has a simple premise and interface: Players tap various circles, turning them red and increasing their size and numerical value, in an attempt to accrue 100 points on-screen. If a red circle hits another object, it's game over. Hundreds is $5 on the iTunes App Store, optimized for iPhone 5, and for iPad and iPod Touch in iOS 5.0 or later.

"Folks who haven't played a game since Tetris are trying out Hundreds and liking it," Saltsman writes. "And we're getting this response for a minimalist game that we made utterly without compromise. Every value we had going into this project we carried all the way through to the end, and in spite of that, or, I am tempted to think, because of that,Hundreds is resonating with more people than we ever allowed ourselves to imagine.
