GTA5の発売日が延期、理由は品質の改善のため

グランドセフトオート5の発売日は9月17日となり、こちらは当初の発売予定だった今春の発売から遅れることとなった。その理由としてはエイリアンがロックスター・ゲームスに侵入して破壊をしたという訳ではない。ロックスター・ゲームスによれば下記の通り。

この遅れについて、様々な陰謀論めいたことが言われているようだが、それは全然ちがう。この遅れは新しいグランドセフトオートが、リリースに足るまでの出来上がりに達していないからだ。

確かにこのリリース計画は当初の予定より4ヶ月ほど遅れている。このわずかな遅れがみなさんを失望させることはわかってはいるのだが、私達を信じて欲しい。この追加の期間は価値のあるものになると思う。




Grand Theft Auto 5 has a release date of September 17, which is later than its original launch window of spring this year. Yes, this is a delay. No, it isn't because aliens beamed down to Rockstar headquarters and possessed the entire Grand Theft Auto 5 development team. At least that's what Rockstar is telling its fans:

"To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they're all nonsense – literally the only reason we've delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be," Rockstar writes in the comments of its launch date announcement.

When Rockstar first posted the September release date, it said, "We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time." While we study the weaknesses of your puny human race, we assume is how that originally ended.

Grand Theft Auto3がiOSとAndroidに登場!10周年記念の＄150のアクションフィギュアも

今年の10月でGrandTheftAuto3が発売から10周年記念になります。これを祝して、iOSとAndroid版での発売が決まりました。発売日は秋の終わりごろになるとのことです。


RockStarのBig BossであるSam Houser氏は下記の通りのコメントをしています。「これらリリースはゲームの可能性を広げていくという会社のビジョンを明確にしました。タッチスクリーンでのプレイに疑問をもつかも知れませんが、これらについてはNewYorkでのコミコンで披露します」


またHPによれば、6分の1スケールでのアクションフィギュアが発売され、これは＄150とのことです。

With this October marking the 10-year anniversary of Rockstar's groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto III, the developer is celebrating by releasing the open-world classic on iOS and Android "later this fall," though no price was given. "Grand Theft Auto III showed us the potential of open world games," Rockstar big boss Sam Houser said in a press release. "It helped set the vision for the company, and we have been expanding on those possibilities with every game ever since." You're probably as curious as we are as to how an open-world title like GTA3 controls on a touchscreen, but luckily the game will be playable at this weekend's New York Comic Con.

Regardless, you'll probably be interested in the above 1:6 scale action figure of GTA3 antihero Claude, replete with various outfits, guns, and severed hands. At just $150, we clearly don't understand the economics of action figures anymore.
