ロシアのソウルキャリバー5のパブリッシャーである1C　Companyはゲームフェスティバルに向けてアイヴィーのコスプレをしています。ソウルキャリバー5ではアイヴィーは32歳の設定ですが、それでも魅力的な格好です。


Russia's Soulcalibur V publisher 1C gears up for the Igromir game festival by dressing up a model as Soulcalibur V's more modest and mature middle-age Ivy. How'd they do?
It's funny how even a modest older version of Ivy is more than enough to make a grown man blush. While the model is nowhere near Cervantes' daughter's 47 or so years and the hair is completely off, I think they've captured her essence well enough that Russian folk passing through the show won't mistake her for Mario.

ソウルキャリバーのストリーモードはサイバーコネクトツーが作成する

ソウルキャリバー5のストリーモードは重要な要素の一つです。そのストリーモードの作成にアスラズラースやナルトシリーズを手がけるサイバーコネクトツーが参加したようです。

ナムコバンダイによればサイバーコネクトツーはソウルキャリバー5の立ち上げ時期から参加しており、本作において、魂と剣の関係性を説明する様なストーリーを用意しているとのことです。
The story mode in Soulcalibur V has been elevated in importance, at least on the developer's side. Namco Bandai is working on the narrative component of its upcoming fighter alongside CyberConnect2, the exuberant studio behind Asura's Wrath and the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series.

Andriasang relays the information from Namco Bandai, which claims that CyberConnect2 has been involved with the project since its inception, providing the storyboards and the motion-capture shoots that -- presumably -- explain all the eternally immolated souls and so forth. We imagine CyberConnect2's taken Namco Bandai's draft script and done a find-and-delete on anything that seemed even vaguely plausible. (You have seen Asura's Wrath, right?)

If it's crazy enough, it could be even be a hit for Hollywood and its bizarre compulsion to adapt the game genre where story is of least importance. C'mon, they even did King of Fighters.

ソーシャルゲーム開発会社Tiny Speck が高橋慶太氏を迎え入れる

Glitchで知られるソーシャルゲームの開発会社Tiny Speckは日本の著名なゲームデベロッパーの高橋慶太氏（元バンダイナムコゲームス）を迎え入れました。

高橋慶太氏は塊魂などの一風変わったゲームをリリースしミリオンセラーを出した稀有なゲームクリエイターです。 塊魂は普通では考えれない創造性のあるゲームで、くっつくボールを街中で転がし、街中のもので雪だるまを創るようなゲームです。

このニュースは一種のかつてのコアビデオゲーム業界からタレントが如何に移動していくかということを渉猟しています。またこのことはFlickrの共同設立者Stewart Butterfieldが立ち上げた Tiny Speckの実力の証明にもなるでしょう。Tiny Speckは4月に＄1000万 以上の資金調達をしました。

ブログのポストによるとTiny Speckは高橋慶太氏について下記のように言っています。
「彼のイマジネーションの力と能力はゲーム史において非常にユニークで変わった視点に気づかせてくれる」

高橋慶太氏は数ヶ月前から GlitchをプレイしながらTiny Speckと話し合いを進めてきました。チームと高橋氏は深い信念、好奇心、ユーモア、馬鹿馬鹿しいアイディア、そして全ての新年において遊ぶことのポジティブさについて共有し合ったとのことです。
